　沿岸環境科学研究センター（CMES）および化学汚染・沿岸環境研究拠点（LaMer）では、2017年6月30日～7月3日に国際シンポジウム「19th International Symposium on Pollutant Responses in Marine Organisms（PRIMO19）」を開催いたします。
　本シンポジウムは、水環境汚染に伴う生物の影響を調査する研究者の国際的な連携と環境毒性学分野の振興を目的とし、 1981年にイギリスのプリマスで第1回大会が開催されました。その後、2年ごとに18回開催されましたが、これまでは主に欧州・米国での開催でした。
　第19回となる本大会はアジア地域で初の開催となります。本シンポジウムの詳細については、以下のサイトを御覧ください。

　　　　　Call for Abstract and Early Bird Registration for PRIMO19
　　(19th International Symposium on Pollutant Responses in Marine Organisms)

Dear Colleague,

The 19th International Symposium on Pollutant Responses in Marine Organisms (PRIMO19) will be held in Matsuyama, Japan from June 30th to July 3rd, 2017.
On behalf of the PRIMO19 Organizing Committee, I cordially invite you to participate in this scientific meeting.
This symposium covers wide-ranging research topics, including biological and toxicological effects at molecular- to ecosystem-level on aquatic organisms of chemical pollutants such as POPs, endocrine disruptors, PPCPs, radionuclides, metals, and heavy oil, and of global perturbations such as ocean acidification, climate change, and hypoxia. Although the word “marine” was used to produce the memorable acronym in the title of this symposium (PRIMO), the meeting has never distinguished between, and always has included, marine and freshwater organisms.

This international symposium is jointly organized with the Center for Marine Environmental Studies (CMES) and the Joint Usage/Research Center – Leading Academia in Marine and Environment Pollution Research (LaMer), Ehime University with support from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan (MEXT).

Important information on PRIMO19;
Abstract Submission deadline: April 28th, 2017
Early bird registration fee by May 1st, 2017: 30,000 yen (for students 10,000 yen)
Regular registration fee after May 2nd to June 1st: 36,000 yen (for students 12,000 yen)
Banquet fee (optional): 10,000 yen
